Career as a high school student
The school that George attended was Knight High School in Palmdale. In his sophomore year, he was a member of the JV team but was move to the varsity team after the season had begun. During his junior year, he became the only non-senior starting player on the team. Recruiters noticed him during the summer of 2007 when he competed in AAU tournaments to gain experience. It was evident to George’s coach during his senior season that he had the potential to play a leading role. The following year, George led the Knights to the Golden League championship and was name the Golden League Most Valuable Player for that season. As well as being name the Antelope Valley Press Player of the Year, he was A Daily News All-Area Boys’ Basketball Team member in 2007-2008.
